Taman Negeri Selangor, or Selangor State Park, is a collection of forest reserves that straddles Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat districts. One of the reserves closest to Kuala Lumpur lies at Sungai Tua near Batu Caves on the trunk route to Ulu Yam (which also connects to Genting Highlands via Batang Kali). At this park, visitors can enjoy a shallow river with a wide range of facilities including restrooms, camping grounds, hawker stalls and gazebos. There are three main entry points along the main road to this river, all which lie a few km apart from each other along the main road. Open daily from morning till evening, a small ticket fee is charged if using the main entrances.
