Bukit Tinggi is a highland district in Pahang between Janda Baik and Genting Highlands, nestled on the Titiwangsa mountain range about 35km north of Kuala Lumpur and 20km south of Bentong. Home to a small Chinese township framed by rustic villages, vegetable farms and fruit orchards, the heart of old Bukit Tinggi lies here, though Berjaya Hills has superceded its geographical importance as a landmark.
Still, the village is a popular eating and shopping spot for visitors plying the Karak Highway, with many Chinese restaurants and a daily fruit market. Out in the countryside, the landscape gives way to lush rainforests, sweeping valleys, fruit orchards and majestic mountains. Bukit Tinggi is also the gateway to Janda Baik via the old Kuala Lumpur-Gombak road or from off Karak Highway.
