The natural surroundings of Genting Highlands are home to ecological treasures that include primary rainforest regions, meandering rivers and majestic waterfalls. Nature activities such as birdwatching, jungle-trekking, 4WD expeditions and waterfall hunting are common around these parts, and for most places, fairly accessible by paved and gravel roads.
These roads often taper off from Karak Highway and major trunk routes leading around Genting Highlands, Bukit Tinggi, Ulu Yam and Bentong districts. For some of these nature destinations, a small ticket fee is charge for entry - but others are free and come with public facilities that include gazebos, washrooms and barbeque pits.
